The Ballarat Squash and Racquetball Association welcomes you to 2022. Year three of the Coronavirus (and counting). We hope that you had an enjoyable Christmas and new year and that you're ready and raring to get back on the court. We're ready to have you back! Please find all the details about the 2022 Squash and Racquetball season below.
2022 Pennant
Competition comprises of a total of 44 weeks of play and commences with our Summer Pennant which is scheduled to commence on Monday, January 24. The pennant schedule is as follows:
Summer Pennant: January 24 until April 1
Autumn Pennant: April 11 until June 24
Winter Pennant: July 04 until September 16
Spring Pennant: September 26 until December 16
Each pennant will conclude with "Grand Final Sunday" as follows:
Summer Pennant - April 3
Autumn Pennant - June 26
Winter Pennant - September 18
Spring Pennant - December 18
Each pennant will be followed by a week's break before the next pennant commences (with the exception of spring pennant).
Public Holidays
In 2022, players whose match is scheduled for a public holiday will have the following options:
Play their match the following night.
Play their match out of time.
Please note that, regardless of your choice, your membership fee will still be due.
In 2022, there are eight (8) public holidays that affect play: January 26 (Wednesday), March 14 (Monday), April 15 (Friday), April 18 (Monday), April 25 (Monday), June 13 (Monday), Friday before GF day (Friday) and November 1 (Tuesday).
2022 Memberships
In November of 2021 we published our proposed pennant and fee structure for 2022 for you to provide feedback. After the consultation period, the Board formally adopted the proposed structures for 2022 at their December meeting. Fees from 2021 $936 - Unlimited Access $832 - Play $312 - Junior $416 - Gym Fees for 2022 $836 - Unlimited $748 - Play $264 - Junior $190 | $209 | $209 | $228 - Season Unlimited $170 | $187 | $187 | $204 - Season Play $60 | $66 | $66 | $72 - Season Junior $360 - Gym There are no changes to casual court or casual gym fees and no changes to the fill-in fee for 2022. We've setup different payment options to make managing your fees easier for you:
The "weekly" payment option will spread your membership fee across 44 weekly payments (44 deductions).
The "seasonal" payment option will spread your membership fee across each week of a season.
The seasonal payment option will vary in accordance with the duration of the respective season
Summer - 10 deductions. Autumn - 11 deductions. Winter - 11 deductions. Spring - 12 deductions.
EG: Spring (12 weeks of competition) pennant is longer than Summer (10 weeks of competition) pennant.
The "monthly" payment option will spread your membership fee across 12 monthly payments (12 deductions).
Annual payments are also available but you'll need to approach staff to make arrangements.
2021 Memberships
The website is now live with the 2022 memberships. As such, we will be forcibly cancelling all 2021 memberships. The mass-cancellation will occur on Monday, January 10.
Members need to sign up to their 2022 memberships prior to the commencement of pennant on January 24 or prior to their next attendance at the Ballarat Squash and Racquetball Centre, whichever is sooner
Please note that if you do not have an active membership then you can't take part in pennant.
For those with 24 / 7 access from 2021, that access will remain unchanged during the transition, however, as stated above, you will need to take out your 2022 membership prior to your next attendance at the Ballarat Squash and Racquetball Centre.
