Pennant is back!

Winter Pennant is back on Monday 20th of July ..... with COVID- 19 restrictions and protocols in place!

Ballarat Squash and Racquetball (BSRA) are delighted to welcome back members into competition again. Pennant will run from 20/07/2020 to 02/09/2020 for a ten week season providing there are no changes to restrictions from the Victorian Government.

After much consideration and advice from our State Body, the doubles competition unfortunately cannot go ahead. We understand that this will be disappointing to members, however the health and safety is our number one priority. This also means you cannot have a casual hit of doubles with your mates. If you are seen playing doubles you will be asked to leave the centre by staff immediately. We ask that if you know in advance you cannot complete a match on a certain date, that you organise to play an 'Out of Time' match with your opponent. Please see the staff and they can assist you in arranging this. We also ask that given the current circumstances where possible you source your own fill in for the night and let the staff know as soon as possible if you cannot attend. This will help our pennant to run as smoothly as possible in these testing times. 24/7 access

We are excited to announce our 24/7 access is up and running. Given the current COVID-19 pandemic we ask that members who have the access please book so we can regulate numbers in the centre. Your key fob will be available for pick up from Monday 20th of July. We will also provide cleaning supplies for the courts to be sanitised after play. Please clean and wipe the door handles you use whilst in the centre. BSRA will work on a trust system that members will do the right thing and respect BSRA property and instructions. Failure to do will result in loss of access. A reminder that cameras have been installed and we will be closely monitored. Any inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated and any damage to the facilities will be at cost of the member as per the terms and conditions of the 24/7 access. Temperature Checks

Staff will now be taking your temperature on arrival. If your temperature reads 37.5 centigrade or higher you will be refused entry to the centre. Measure such as these are important to ensure our members and community are safe and to prevent the spread of the disease. If for any reason, you refuse to have your temperature taken you will not be allowed to enter the centre. To Recap:

  • Winter Pennant commencing on Monday 20th of July with COVID-19 protocols in place.

  • 24/7 access available from Monday 20th of July.
